The 412 VOXX captures a VOX™ 4×12 cabinet — a closed-back enclosure built around VOX's Custom Loudspeaker Series. Where the AC-series combos defined the bright, chiming British clean, the closed-back 4×12 pushes that voice into a tighter, more focused low-end built for stage-level and higher-gain playing.

Loaded with four VOX™ Custom GSH-1230-16 drivers — 12-inch, 30W, 16Ω, made for VOX by the long-established British loudspeaker maker Wharfedale. These are current-production drivers in an accessible, affordable class, but they're voiced after the classic British 30-watt 12″ of the Celestion G12H30 / Greenback lineage and developed under Steve Grindrod, formerly of Celestion and Fane. The singing upper-mids of that family stay intact, joined by the extra headroom of the 30-watt "H"-style design.

The capture is routed through an API™ 512c microphone preamplifier, a direct descendant of the original 2510/2520 discrete op-amp lineage. The 512c brings the API character built through decades of console work: a deep, controlled low-end, an extremely low noise floor, and a punchy midrange that projects forward. The Neve VR version of this same cabinet sits alongside it as the warmer, more vintage-leaning alternative.
