The Park™ brand was founded in 1965 as a sister label to Marshall — produced in the same Marshall factory, using the same circuit and cabinet specifications, but distributed under a separate brand name to satisfy distribution agreements of the era. In cabinet-construction terms, a Park is a Marshall.
This particular cabinet is a 1969 Park 4×12 with the distinctive Blue Grill cloth — a sought-after collector specification from the late-1960s Park production run.
Inside are vintage Celestion™ "Pre-Rola" G12M25 Greenback 12-inch speakers — the most prized variant of the Greenback family. "Pre-Rola" refers to Greenbacks produced before the 1973 ROLA factory move, regarded as the warmest and most musically responsive period of Greenback production. Each example carries the cone, magnet, and assembly characteristics of the pre-1973 specification — a window onto the speakers behind the era's most-cited British rock recordings.
A reference capture for late-1960s British rock tone. Park's Marshall-spec construction, the Blue Grill specification, and the Pre-Rola Greenback's warm, slightly soft midrange together produce the foundational sound of the era — the same tonal palette behind countless British rock recordings of the period. Across rhythm and lead alike, the IR carries the warmth of the original cabinet directly into the listener's ear, where it soaks in.
