About the Marshall™ 1982A Hendrix LE · Vintage 30
Slant Cabinet · Hendrix Limited Edition · Celestion Vintage 30 (60W)

The Marshall™ 1982A Hendrix Limited Edition is a special-run 4×12" cabinet released as a tribute to Jimi Hendrix — the guitarist whose Marshall stacks became the defining image of rock amplification. The "1982A" designation refers to the angled top cab: the slant-baffle upper section that pairs with a straight-front 1982B below to complete the iconic full-stack silhouette.

Hendrix's relationship with Marshall is the stuff of rock legend. His late-1960s stage rigs helped define the sound of psychedelic rock and shaped guitar tone for the decades that followed.

The Limited Edition series was produced in restricted quantities, making this cabinet a collector item among Marshall enthusiasts.

Inside are four Celestion™ Vintage 30 speakers. The V30 is one of the most influential guitar speakers ever built: balanced low end, aggressive upper-midrange chime, and a pronounced 3kHz peak that cuts through dense mixes. Designed in the 1980s and adopted as the flagship voicing for Mesa Boogie, PRS, and a long list of high-end boutique cabinets, the V30 has carried the modern boutique signature for forty years.

In this cabinet, two languages meet: a 1960s tribute body and the most recognizable boutique voice of the last four decades. Where they cross, the V30's 3kHz peak presses against the 1982A's slant geometry, and the upper register rings out with crystalline clarity.
