The Marshall™ 1982A Hendrix Limited Edition is a special-run 4×12" cabinet released as a tribute to Jimi Hendrix — the guitarist whose Marshall stacks became the defining image of rock amplification. The "1982A" designation refers to the angled top cab: the slant-baffle upper section that pairs with a straight-front 1982B below to complete the iconic full-stack silhouette.
Hendrix's relationship with Marshall is the stuff of rock legend. His late-1960s rigs — 100-watt heads driving full stacks — helped define the sound of psychedelic rock and shaped guitar tone for the decades that followed.
The Limited Edition series was produced in restricted quantities, which has made this cabinet a sought-after collector item among Marshall enthusiasts and Hendrix listeners alike.
Inside are four Celestion™ G12T-75 speakers. The G12T-75 is the higher-power 75-watt ceramic — tight low end, focused upper-mid push, and the headroom to absorb modern high-gain amplification without losing definition. The capture holds the duality of the cab itself: a Hendrix-tribute enclosure with a thoroughly modern voice. Wearing the silhouette of the late-60s stack, the IR ventures into present-day high-gain territory.
