The Marshall™ 1960B is the straight version of the iconic 4×12 cabinet. The "B" stands for Bottom — built to sit on the floor with a slant 1960A on top, the pair forming the classic Marshall stack.
Since the 1960s this cabinet has powered the rigs of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Slash, Angus Young, and countless others. When you picture a wall of Marshalls behind a band, those are 1960Bs.
This particular cabinet wears the Small Check grill cloth — Marshall's standard pattern from the late 1970s onward, the look most players today associate with Marshall.
Inside are four Celestion™ "ROLA" G12M25 Greenback speakers. The "Greenback" nickname comes from the green-painted magnet cover on the rear; "ROLA" denotes Celestion's 1970s production era — regarded as the most coveted Greenback window for its aggressive midrange grit, bright top end, and that unmistakable British rock voice. From Hendrix through Slash, the tone that ties an entire era together pushes out from this cabinet.
