The Marshall™ 1960B is the straight version of the iconic 4×12 cabinet. The "B" stands for Bottom — built to sit on the floor with a slant 1960A on top, the two halves forming the classic Marshall stack silhouette.
Since the 1960s, this cabinet has stood on stage with Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Slash, Angus Young, and virtually every major rock guitarist at some point in their career.
This particular cabinet wears the Small Check grill cloth — Marshall's standard pattern from the late 1970s onward, replacing the earlier Large Check. It's the look most players associate with Marshall today.
Inside are four Celestion™ "ROLA" G12M25 Blackback speakers. The "Blackback" name comes from the black-painted magnet cover (versus the green "Greenback" variant), and ROLA-era 1970s manufacturing is regarded as the gold standard for vintage Celestion tone — focused mids, articulate top end, and a slightly tighter low end than the Greenback. Around those drivers, the character of this 1960B settles into clear, controlled focus.
