The Fender™ Deluxe Reverb is one of the most recorded amplifiers in popular music history. The "Black Face" designation refers to Fender's black control panel produced from 1963 to 1967 — widely considered the peak of Fender's tube-amp design.
Built around two 6V6 power tubes and rated at roughly 22 watts, the Deluxe Reverb sits in the sweet spot between the smaller Princeton and the louder Twin: loud enough for stage use, quiet enough to push into power-tube saturation in the studio.
This IR captures the cabinet paired with an Eminence™ 12-inch speaker, voiced to preserve the chimey top end and warm mids that define classic Fender tone. The Deluxe Reverb circuit has been a permanent fixture of country, blues, indie, and roots music.
This capture records the open-back cabinet's air-bloom resonance and the speaker's response, exactly as taken. Paired with a tube amp, the cabinet voice meets the amp's tube-driven harmonics and the natural compression of its 6V6 power section — and the sound that has shaped American music for six decades rises into view.
