Mix Files Overview

Mix two different microphones together to bring out their unique characteristics. For example, combining the punchy attack of the 57III with the rich fullness of the R121, among many other possible combinations. The numbers in the filename (e.g. 3-7) indicate the blend ratio between the two microphones.

Folder Features

IR Length

① 200ms and 500ms Lengths

500ms captures longer reverb and spatial characteristics, providing a more natural acoustic environment. Many devices will automatically adjust excess length as needed.

Sample Rate

② Three Sample Rates: 96kHz, 48kHz, 44.1kHz

Higher sample rates (96kHz) can reproduce higher frequencies and capture more detailed acoustic characteristics. Please note that compatible sample rates vary by device.

RAW and MPT

③ What are RAW and MPT?

RAW files provide more natural acoustic characteristics and are recommended for standard use. MPT files have minimized phase and are suitable when combining with other cabinet IRs.
