200ms → Most devices don't need more than 200ms, so this is fine to start with. 500ms → Longer recording with more natural reverb. Good for BOSS, Iridium, and software apps.
Most devices only use about 21-46ms. If you choose longer IR data (like 500ms), your device will automatically cut it to the right length.
• Sample Rate
Use 96kHz, 48kHz, or 44.1kHz folder to match your device.
• File Type
RAW: Natural sound response (recommended). *All files without "RAW" in the name are still RAW except MPT. MPT: Minimum Phase Transform - Phase-aligned IRs for mixing different cabinets
This IR data was created from an Aguilar™ DB 212 8Ω bass cabinet. It is widely acclaimed by musicians across various genres—from jazz and fusion to funk and rock—in today's live performances and recording sessions.
Using 7 different microphones, we captured the powerful midrange that maintains presence even in loud band settings (a hallmark of the DB series) and Aguilar's signature musically refined full-range sound as IRs.
Each microphone includes IRs recorded with the phenolic tweeter speaker (TW) turned ON. These IRs are particularly effective for slap bass and pick playing techniques. They possess unique high-frequency acoustic characteristics that cannot be achieved through EQ alone.
Additionally, as bonus data, we have included rear (BACK) position recordings, which may serve more specialized applications. By loading these IRs into IR-compatible devices or plugins, you can further enhance your bass sound.
