IR Format Guide

• IR Data Length

IR Length Options

Choose from two recording lengths:

200ms → Most devices don't need more than 200ms, so this is fine to start with.
500ms → Longer recording with more natural reverb. Good for BOSS, Iridium, and software apps.

Most devices only use about 21-46ms. If you choose longer IR data (like 500ms), your device will automatically cut it to the right length.

• Sample Rate

Sample Rate Options

Use 96kHz, 48kHz, or 44.1kHz folder to match your device.

• File Type

File Types

RAW: Natural sound response (recommended). *All files without "RAW" in the name are still RAW except MPT.
MPT: Minimum Phase Transform - Phase-aligned IRs for mixing different cabinets

This IR data was captured from a 1965 Fender™ Super Reverb, equipped with its original CTS™ 10-inch speakers in a 4×10 configuration.

The Blackface-era Super Reverb (1963–1967), favored by Derek Trucks, follows the lineage of the Tweed 4×10 Bassman and the Brownface 4×10 Concert. Well-preserved, all-original examples in excellent condition are now extremely rare.

Capture details:

  • Single microphone position, carefully selected for optimal phase alignment
  • Designed to capture both direct speaker response and the natural air of an open-back cabinet
  • No EQ and no compression applied
  • Captured through a Neve microphone preamplifier as raw IR data
