IR Length

200ms — Works with almost all devices. Start here.
500ms — More natural room tail. Best for BOSS IR-200, Strymon Iridium, software plugins.

Most hardware devices only read the first 21–100ms. Longer files are usually truncated by the device.

Sample Rate

96kHz — TacoSounds native.
48kHz — Standard for most hardware processors.
44.1kHz — Older devices or 44.1kHz sessions.

When in doubt, try 48kHz first.

File Type

RAW — Natural full-phase response. Recommended for most uses.
MPT — Useful when blending multiple IRs.

Use RAW unless you are specifically mixing multiple cabinet IRs together.
